These Turkey Sausage & Cheese Wonton Bites are a quick, savory treat that's perfect for any occasion. With just four simple ingredients — turkey sausage, shredded cheese, wonton wrappers, and a drizzle of ranch dressing — these little bites are crispy on the outside, cheesy and flavorful on the inside. Ingredients
1lbTurkey sausage I like using the mild kind, but you can go spicy too.
1packWonton Wrappers Usually found in the refrigerated section
1cupShredded Cheese Cheddar, mozzarella, or a mix
1/3cupRanch DressingSometimes, I measure with my heart here.
Instructions
Preheat the oven: to 350°F (190°C).
Cook the turkey sausage: in a skillet over medium heat until it’s browned and crumbly. Drain any extra fat.
Prebake: Place the Wanton Wrappers, one in each cup of a 12-cup muffin tin and prebake for 4 minutes. Keeping a close eye on them.
Create mixture: Add in the ranch and shredded cheese to your sausage. Mix ingredients together well.
Assemble the stars: Spoon some of the cooked turkey sausage mixture onto each star, followed by little cheese and or black olives.
Bake: Place the filled muffin tin in the oven and bake for another 2-4 minutes. Until golden and the cheese has melted. (Be careful! They can burn or darken easily.)
Garnish: with a sprinkle of fresh herbs if you like, and then serve warm. You’ll see — they’ll disappear in no time!
