As the crisp autumn air sets in and the leaves begin to turn, there’s nothing quite like a warm bowl of chili to comfort the soul. If you’re a fan of hearty meals and enjoy cooking with fresh ingredients, then deer chili should definitely be on your menu. Whether you’re a seasoned hunter or simply looking for a delicious way to utilize lean venison, this recipe is a flavorful twist on a classic dish.
Why Choose Deer Meat?
Deer, or venison, is leaner than beef and packed with flavor. It’s a great source of protein and lower in fat, making it a healthier alternative. Plus, using fresh venison connects you to nature and the great outdoors, adding a touch of adventure to your cooking.
My Passion for Hunting & Feeding our Family
Hunting has always been a joy and passion of mine since I was a young boy. I first started hunting with my dad and we’d go rabbit hunting every fall. Along with quail and deer hunting. Later on in my hunting career I picked up my biggest passion of coon hunting which is my favorite thing to do. The enjoyment being out in the woods and natural environment has made me who I am today. Now fast forwarding to having a family of my own it has been a continued passion to pass my roots and traits down to my kids. Teaching them where food comes from and how to harvest different species of wild game. It is so important to me to pass on my skills of hunting to my family to preserve the legacy of hunting for the next generation. That is why I work hard showing them different hunting techniques and how to harvest game. It educates them in how fortunate we are to have food on the table and to feed ourselves. Lastly the hunting values I have strived to teach my family is being thankful for God allowing us hunt. One of the verves in the bible Genesis 27:3, it says “Now then, take your weapons, your quiver, and your bow, and go out to the field and hunt game for me. ” This verse is a constant reminder to me because it not only only allows me to glorify God with hunting, but as well to teach my family this is why we hunt. To Love God’s creation and make it last.
