Delicious and Simple Banana Bread

Our family has nut allergies so that’s not something we add, but understand it’s loved by many!

 

To make the perfect banana bread, start by selecting ripe bananas. The riper the banana, the sweeter your bread will be. Mash the bananas with sugar, butter, and eggs. Add flour, baking soda, and a pinch of salt and mix well. Pour the batter into a greased loaf pan and bake for about 50-60 minutes until golden brown.

Some tips for baking perfect banana bread include not overmixing the batter, letting the bread cool completely before slicing, and storing it in an airtight container.

Ingredients

  • 1 1/4 cups Sugar
  • 1/2 cup Soft Butter 1 Stick
  • 2 Eggs
  • 3 Ripe Bananas
  • 1/2 cup Milk
  • 1 tsp Vanilla
  • 2 1/2 cups Flour
  • 1 tsp Baking Soda
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 1 cup Chocolate Chips or Nuts Optional

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F. Lightly butter one 9-by-5-inch loaf pan.
  • In a large mixing bowl cream together the butter and sugar
  • Then add in the 2 eggs and 3 ripe bananas to the large mixing bowl & mix
  • Add in your 1 tsp vanilla
  • Pour in your 1/2 cup milk
  • Add in all your dry ingredients; 2 1/2 cups flour, 1 tsp baking soda & 1 tsp salt and mix together well.
  • Pour your finished mixture into a greased 9-by-5-inch loaf pan and place in pre-heated oven.
  • Bake 45-50 minutes until browned and a toothpick inserted into the center comes out completely clean, about 1 hour. Let the bread cool for 10 minutes in the pan, then turn out onto a rack to cool completely.
  • You can modify this recipe for mini loaves. Simply pour your finished mixture into a mini loaf pan and bake at 375 for 25-30 minutes.
