The Dutch Baby Pancake is a simple and savory breakfast dish!

Equipment

  • 1 Cast Iron Skillet OR a Oven Safe Baking Dish
  • 1 Medium Size Mixing Bowl
  • 1 Mixing Utensil – Wisk

Ingredients

  • 3 Eggs
  • 1/2 Cup Milk
  • 4 Tbsp Butter
  • 1 tsp Vanilla Extract
  • 1/2 Cup All-Purpose Flour
  • 2 Tbsp Sugar
  • 1 tsp Cinnamon or Nutmeg Optional

Instructions

  • Pre-heat the oven to 400°
  • Place your cast iron or baking dish in the oven to pre-heat as well.
  • In your medium size mixing bowl whisk your wet ingredients together, eggs, milk & vanilla.
  • Then add your sugar and flour.
  • Whisk until mixture is smooth.
  • Once oven is pre-heated remove your pan and drop your butter in to melt. Be careful, it's HOT.
  • Pour your mixture into your pan. Do not stir.
  • Bake for 25-30 minutes. Top with your favorite fruit, jam, honey or syrup.
